Seek info on early extension

Post by sanxiao » Tue May 05, 2009 11:33 am

Need advice on an early extension application.

I work in UK under HSMP visa which is due expire on November 2009.

When I apply for jobs, the prospective agencies get apprehensive about the limited amount of visa time under HSMP. Due to this my chances of consideration for an another job reduce significantly.

Can I request Home office to consider giving me an early extension against the above reason.

I am sure I am not the first person to face such kinda situation.

Please advice. Thanks a lot for your time.

Hi PsDesai,
But some people are saying when you book for an appointment for HSMP Exte, under Tier1 the home office people are saying they will give appointment only if the visa is expiring in 28 days or 6 weeks,
is that true.....

You will only know this when you call for appointment. You say the reason that you just mentioned and you should be fine. There is no harm in this ... have a go.
All the best.

ps Let me know what you get in reply
