dependent visa query

hi,

i am on a tier 1 general visa since april 09..i wish to call my dependents,husband and daughter,hve few queries,will appreciate if could be answered.

1.My husband and daughter have maintained 1600£ individually since last 3 mnths,is it mandatory for me to show the 2800£ as well?

2.i have got a contract job for 3 mnths,which will give me arnd 1600£ mnthly along with sal slips,will it hold worth to call my dependents?

3.My rent agreement includes the utility bills,hence i do not have any bills on my name,will that be a problem?

Even I am in the same boat and after a little research I have found out that we have to maintain (2800 Main Applicant +1600 for each dependant) to be on the safer side, people have got their dependant visas approved without showing it also but personally I have been maintaining 6000 £ for 2 months and next month I am applying for my dependants when I visit India.

If your question is specific to Maintenance fund for the main applicant while applying for dependants then the answer is No (refer to the above answer). If it is regarding survival in UK with 1600 £, then it all depends on you, you being in UK from APril 09 would surely know the living cost and how to go about spending here.


3.My rent agreement includes the utility bills,hence i do not have any bills on my name,will that be a problem?

Mention this in the cover letter that utility bills are part of the rent and for that you have attached the rental agreement. This should satisfy the accomodation proof for you. If you have landline phone & the bill is on your name, you can attach that as well.
