Tier1-General Dependent Visa-help needed urgently

Post by browni » Tue Jun 30, 2009 5:26 pm

Friends
I got my HSMP Visa Extended in Apr 2009 under Tier 1 Category and now it is valid till 2012 and had planned to go to India in 2nd Week of July to apply a dependant Visa for my Wife and my kid who is 6 months old from Bangalore India ,and was maintaining the necessary funds of 1600GBP *2 +800 GBP for two dependants and self for last 3 months ,and just yesterday i was told by my employer that our entire team of 7 members have been made redundant i am in utter stress now as to how to get there dependent visa now as employer will not give letter for employment and if i continue looking for jobs with the current situation i dont think it will be easy to get job for atleast 3 months in which case i will have to loose all my money saved and also will not be able to provide salary slips as proof of earnings which will prolong to get dependant visa done with a kid who is 6 months old my wife alone cannot take care of the baby .
Could any of the forum members help me in recomending what other alternatives i have to compensate for employement proof of letter .

Your Reply will be of great help .

Kind Regards
Brownie

Hi browni,

its really sad to hear abt it,
when someone is made redundant in UK indivisual's are put at risk for 3 months or so, thats what happens in our org till then he will be the employee.., not sure abt other comps.

if you are in such a scenario, get your family dependant visa done ASAP, you need not go to india for application, you can send the docs by courier.

You can also submit your appointment letter instead of employment letter, along with bank statements and payslip's, P60, P45 etc

Another important thing is if you are in UK for less than 1 year under tier1 visa you need to show only 1600 £ per dependant,

you need not show additional 800£ as you already got ur visa, 800£ needs to be shown only if you are applying along with ur dependant.
