Tier 1 extension expiring early??..Help

Post by speedsven » Sun Oct 25, 2009 8:48 am

My HSMP to Tier 1 timeline:

Expiry before application : Jan 01 2010
points claimed : 120 (100 + 20)
Application sent : October 05 (by next day delivery)
Payment deducted : October 06
Reference letter : received after 3 days
Visa stamped : 22 Oct 2009
Documents received : October 24 ( by recorded delivery)
Current Expiry : 22 Oct 2012

Total processing time : 14 working days

Thanks to the forum and the members.

As per my knowledge I suppose to get extension from my previous expiry i.e. 01 Jan 2010 to 01 Jan 2013.

I got current expire date as 22 Oct 2012 instead of Jan 01 2013 means 2 months early.

Can I appeal about the early expiry?

To eligible for PR do I need to go for another extension as i will get short of 2 months?

Currently i am thinking to apply for Tier 1 extension..
But my current expiry date is same date of your expiry date.
which means, i can have the same problem if i apply now..

Please inform what you did... Did you write to HO?

Hi Screamway- I have seen most people got their extension start from end of current expiry irrespective of when they had applied. So you need not to be worried much about it.

On safer side you could request HO in the cover letter that issue the extension fom the date of your current expiry.

I had written the letter to HO and they asked me to send the passport to make the correction.

I sent my passport and they made the correction in expiry date and returned the passport in 2 days..

Thanks to Sushil-ACCA for your advice.
