Tier 1 extension against Ltd Company or Self business

[HSMP1+3+1]

My friend came here under HSMP in 2008 and doing odd jobs. His extension is due in Mar 2010. He has also opened the Ltd company and doing some activities in the company but not as much to get the qualifying points.

Does he needs to get qualifying points again to get the extension OR he just need to show business activities for last 4 months before he apply for extension and does NOT need qualifying points ? What I heard from him that he will not be able to do £36000 turnover throug his Ltd company.

Does he needs to show the maintenance fund for him and his wife as well.

Your advise will highly be appreciated.

Yes, he MUST have to show the proofs of necessary points claimed for extension, for him and for any dependents. Just showing business activites is not required for extension.
