Past earnings - Cash earnings..

Post by mutu » Tue Oct 27, 2009 10:13 am

Hi there,
I am going for my visa extention through Tier 1 general from PSW next month.
From Nov 2008 to April 2009,i did a business which just involved cash transcation and no invoicing.Hence the amount i earned is not reflected in my bank statement.
To meet the past earnings criterion,i have two documents i.e,
1.tax document from HMRC for the period Nov 2008 to April 2009,as i started self employment only in Nov 2008.
2.Accountant statement for the same period.
So these two documents essentially meets the HO requirement of 2 documents from 2 different sources.
I am not going to send the bank statement for the period between Nov 2008 to April 2009 as the bank statement does not reflect the earnings i have had.
Do you think that would be okay? And i welcome suggestions as to what other documents i can include to add more validity to my case. Many thanks.

NO, tax statement and letter from accountant would be considered as same source evidence. If you browse this forum, you will find people got rejected only because of this. You must send bank statements together with other source proof.

I had a same issue before. I used to get paid cash from my employer last year for which I had tax docs and salary slips but no bank statements. Rang HomeOffice about 4 times and spoke to different adviser everytime. All of them mentioned to have a cover letter to explain the situation but also said it'd be at case worker's discretion and the chances aren't very good as they follow strict guidelines.

Good luck though.
