HSMP and work Permit BOTH being processed ..Possible ???

Post by hsmpaspirant » Tue Jul 19, 2005 12:07 am

Dear Folks ,

I have an interesting questions to put before all of us here in the forum and would be interested to know possible answers as atleast I am not sure which is the right one.

I am here on a Business Visa and have found an employer who has kind of shown interest to give me a job for £ 25k per year. He ha to apply for my WP and it could take upto a months time to get it. I will be returning to India this week and after that he is supposed to file the WP application.

He has provided me the offer letter and related confidential agreements.

I am also keen to apply for an HSMP but I cannot do so after coming back to UK on a WP since I am above 28 yrs and my salary is less than £ 40 K.

Hence I am thinking of applying for HSMP( as Urgent Treatment with Offer letter) as Soon as I return to India while my employer submits my WP. Here is what could Happen

1. My WP comes thru and I come back to UK while MY HSMP application is still being processed in India . Is THIS Possible ???

2. After the HSMP gets processed and Approved (Gods must be smiling for me), I go to India and get the HSMP / EC stamped on Passport.

Is this how this Process COULD Happen or is there something Illegal about this idea of applying simultaneously for both the WP and the HSMP together ?

Folks I would appreciate any thoughts/ guidance on this ....

Appreciate your help !!![/b]
