Tier 1 General - How early and in-person application?

Hi everyone,

Can anyone answer two quick questions on Tier 1 (General) visa please.

- How early can I apply for the Tier 1 General visa? My current visa is expiring in sep. 2010 . Can I apply six months before this date for Tier 1 General?

- Are in-person applications allowed for initial applications to Tier 1 General? I know the form is the same for both but someone told me that in-person premium application is only possible for either extension cases or transfer from HSMP ? It is not entirely clear from the ukba website.

Presuming you are switching category to Tier-1(G).In this case,You can apply anytime you want.For extension, it is advisable to apply not much early.

- Are in-person applications allowed for initial applications to Tier 1 General? Yes

I know the form is the same for both but someone told me that in-person premium application is only possible for either extension cases or transfer from HSMP ? It is not entirely clear from the ukba website.You can apply in person for Tier-1 initial as well as extension.
