To those who have received Tier 1 extension visa

Post by rising_sun » Tue Dec 29, 2009 8:01 pm

Hello everyone,

I have submitted my application on 21st by next day delivery and have been received by HO on 23rd due to delay with snow.
My fee has been deducted, but no reference number has been provided yet :( I hope everything goes well.

I have a quick question and hope any of you who has succeeded in renewing the visa could help.
When you received your extension visa, does it have the Immigration stamp like the one you get at the airport immigration on the actual visa?
(The date of entry)
When I first flew to UK with initial HSMP visa, immigration officer stamped on top of my HSMP visa to prove my entry to the country or something.
I have just renewed my passport so on the new passport, all I'd have would be the new Tier 1 visa and it won't prove my entry to the country (until I leave and come back to UK next), would it? I am not sure how it works, but I'm just wondering if you'd have some kind of stamp (witht the date) on top of Tier1.

It's an odd question, but I hope you could help me.
Thank you!

Thanks ramesh!

So to prove my entry to the country, I have to have my previous passport....

I hope to receive good news from HO soon enough!

Thanks again!

Another quick question :?:

Is reference number going to be sent us by post or via email?
It seems like it usually takes a couple/few days once the fee has been charged to your card.
Mine was deducted on 23rd Dec, so if it wasn't during the holiday season, I should have received ref # by now. I know post office didn't do any delivery from 25th to 28th so I was hoping to get it today. Hopefully it will come tomorrow.

Please share your experience: after how many days after the fee has been charged, did you receive reference number? (post/email)

Thank you so much for your help again!

During normal working days.. you get the reference letter in 5-7days time but pls understand that there are people who did not receive reference letters and still got their visa approvals... so dont worry if u dont get reference letter.. but it might have got late as you mentioned about holiday season
