Full Name Not Displayed in Bank Statements

Post by samj » Fri Jan 01, 2010 12:59 am

Hi Gurus,

I will be applying for Tier-1 General extension. I have the original bank statements from Lloyds TSB Bank for showing Maintenance Fund.

However, the bank statement doesn't show my full name on it. As an example, the name printed on bank statements is 'R K Sharma' whilst name on passport is 'Rakesh Kumar Sharma'.

Shall the bank statements be accepted? I spoke to bank officials and they informed me that it's general laid out rule of the Bank to print initials in the statements and can't be altered.

Can you please express your views in this regard? The UKBA guideline says 'Name' should be printed on the statements.

Thanks.

Regards,

Samj

That should be fine. Home office do not act against reason, however it is best to mention this in the covering letter.
