Can a dependent spouse of student get HSMP?

I am coming with my wife to UK as dependent on her Student Visa, if things work for us can I apply for HSMP and what are the chances for approval?

Pls advice as I plan to come from India and shall be disposing all my assets and house.

I have done my MBA- Marketing and have more tha 10 years work experience in Sales and customer service, what would be my job opportunities?

Can some on guide me what has to be done to get HSMP after landing in UK?

I don't seems to know much about immigration issues, but i feel it will be a lot easier for you to get your HSMP while you are still back home in your country. Get all your documents, references, bank statements and stuffs like that and apply rather than travel to UK in a hurry with a dependant visa and start processing HSMP from UK. Getting your docs together will be more tedious.

I think being a little bit patient and getting the best of the 2 presented scenarios is a lot better, because relocating to UK through HSMP is a lot better than going as a student dependant.

Although another issue here is if you are qualified to earn other points outside educational qualification. One can never predict what their points will be on work experience. From personal experience what is regarded as graduate level work in my country is not regarded as Graduate level work in UK. It is my supervisory level years that is being considered as graduate level.

Hence i will advise you to check your eligibilty for HSMP first. If you qualify, then it is definitely better to process in your home country and get approval before you relocate.

That is my 2 cents.
