Entering UK Prior to EC start date

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone help me. I need to enter the UK prior to the start date of my EC, just by a few weeks. Will they let me do this? I have posted this question many times, but no response, nobody seems to know the answer to this question.

I also did a search and spent hours looking for anyone who went through this, but found nothing. Please help if you know the answer. You can email me directly at homeistheuk@gmail.com.

The simple answer is no, you cannot enter beofre your EC starts, unless you lodge a new application (which I guess is out of the question). Have you tried other options if you are really desparate e.g. visitors visa?

Thanks for posting the link. I wonder why Homeistheuk is posting his query again as it appears to have been dealt with before. If you are an American, I see no problem you entering the UK as a Visitor prior to entering on your HSMP EC.

If you do not require prior EC to enter the UK as a visitor, you may enter the UK before your HSMP EC starts.

I am Australian and I entered the UK 2 months before my HSMP visa started ticking.
