Application gone for a quality check

Post by Dionysus » Mon Oct 24, 2005 1:30 pm

Hi All

My reference number is 048**
Application received by HSMP on 12/Aug/2005
Status still pending.
I have been in contact with the guys at HSMP and have just received an email from them.
I would appreciate if someone can clarify what that accounts to and if this has happened before.

Dear Sir

I have contacted your case worker and he says that your case has been picked
out for random quality checks. So unfortunately he has no idea how long it
is going to take as it is totally out of our hands until we receive the
results of the check.

Regards

HSMP Team
BTW I am in UK on a working holiday visa.

Many Thanks

Hi Chess,et al

I am not sure about UK home office, but I know in Australia the immigration department does random checks with some applicants and normally it takes one year or so to finish that off.

It's really painful as one needs lots of patience , because in this case HO will certainly check each evidance presented in application for verification. It might takes from several months to an year

Wait is painful, while clock is ticking

Hi Chess/ All

I still has not received any update from HSMP.Seems like things are no longer in the hands of HSMP, atleast thats what they say over the phone and on emails, the most rescent being the following
Dear Sir,

That is not for HSMP team to decide. A decision has not yet been made and
will be made in due course.

Regards
HSMP Team

Trouble is my Working Holiday Visa expires on 22/Dec/2005!
Am I eligible to ask for an extension to my stay if a decision is not made and my current visa expires? If yes how can this be attained!

Would really appreciate your advise
Many Thanks

Send in your application for FLR before your current visa expires. If you don't you'll be here illegally and that'll make things very difficult for you.

Dionysus,

I suggest you to return to your home country when your visa will expires. And than please inform HO about your new mail address (via email, for example). In that way you will do not have a problem with UK law.

Be happy!
