Number of TIER 1 extensions.

Hi all,

I have a peculiar problem and need your kind help.

1) My TIER 1 VISA was stamped on 4th Feb 2009, and so the first 3-year term ends on 4th Feb 2012, after which i will apply for an extension that will be valid till 4th Feb 2014.

2). Even after that, i dont think i will be able to apply for ILR since i landed in UK after 6 months of getting my VISA stamped. ( As stated, VISA was stamped on 4th Feb 2009 and i landed in UK on 15th Aug, 2009).

In such a scenario, will i be allowed to file for a second TIER 1 extension so that i somehow complete the consecutive 5 year stay in UK to become eligible for ILR? Otherwise, what are the options i may have?

It is your decision whether to apply for ILR or not, so you may (if you choose to) apply for another extension - unless the "earned citizenship" laws (scheduled to be implemented from July 2011) introduce a restriction.

Also, under earned citizenship laws, there won't be ILR but probabtionary citizenship.
