Accomodation proof for dependent visa

Hi,

I am in Uk since last 3 years on Tier 1 and living in shared accomodation and I dont have any tenency aggremment.

Is tenancy agrement required for applying dependent visa for my wife?

Please advice.

This is one requirement which as per my careful analysis and research through different people is NOT mandatory but good to have.

I waited for 4 months before I could afford a house and then call my family over. I have not applied yet but will do so once I finalize the house next week.

I don't know if was able to help you on this.

It is not required. The only thing that is definately required is the maintenance cost. The sole reason of maintenace cost is to assure that you can support your family's accomodation and food without access to public funds. But if you have one, it is no harm to include.
