Date of application for Tier 1

Hi everyone,
What will be the date of application for my Tier 1 visa if I apply through VFS Bengaluru? I know that this should be the fee payment date as per the guidelines.
So what is the average delay time for clearing fee through Demand draft or cheque? Can we pay the fee through credit or debit card at the VFS centre?

You can either pay by DD or cash. Date of application is when you pay the fee. Either you pay by cash or DD, the day you submit your application is the date of application. As DD is deemed as ready money.
