Is it possible to apply Initial application for UK Tier 1

Hi,

I have UK Tier 1 Visa valid until August 2011. This visa was a initial application from UK. Currently I am in India from April 2009, now I want to travel to UK and wants to apply for Tier 1 visa again as a fresh candidate(not extension) through initial application.

1. Can I apply for UK Tier 1 visa as initial applicant from UK on Indian salary as my previous earning again considering my existing UK Tier 1 visa valid until Aug 2011. Please be aware that I do not want extension on my existing Tier 1 visa.

2. If I am able to apply through initial application for UK Tier 1 visa from
UK then how long duration this visa will be given ? Is it 2 years or 3
years.

3. In case I get UK Tier 1 visa through initial application for either 2 or 3
year. Will I be able to get same age points while extention which I was
getting during my application as initial applicant now.

This is because if I get fresh UK Tier 1 visa for 2 years I can get 10 points in Age and same age points I can get in extension as well but if I visa is given for 3 years initially now then I may not get same 10 points as per points calculator. That's why asking 3rd question.

No you cannot apply for another Initial Tier 1 visa when you current visa is still valid.

Why can you not just go to the UK now with this Visa? And why don't you want an extension? Makes no sense.

You won't be allowed to apply for Tier 1 as an initial if you are holding one, but current Tier 1 is only 2 years.

Read the guidelines.The extension visa points required are less than the initial application.
