Biometric Residence Permit required for Tier 1 application?

Hi I'm trying to apply for the Tier 1 before Apr 2011 and noted that the application requires details on my Biometric Residence Permit. However I don't have one. Do I need to apply for that before I can start my Tier 1 application or do I just submit my Tier 1 application without it and they'll send me info on where I can go to submit my Biometrics?

The Immigration website doesn't seem to explain this very clearly.
