Age issue

Post by loga_qa » Sat Feb 11, 2006 1:09 pm

Folks ,

I am currently 27 years and 8 months old , if i apply now will i eligible for Under 28 category , i am afraid if they process my application after 4 months they may reject as i will be 28 in coming june .

Please advise whether they process my application on the basis of received date or date on which they process it .

They will consider and calculate your age at the time the application has been recieved. So as long as you send in your application before your 28th birthday you should be fine.

Mwazir is right. They will consider your age at the time they receive your application.
I applied for HSMP -under 28 year scheme. My application reached the Doncaster Office three days before my 28th birthday and was forwarded to HSMP office exactly on my date of birth. By grace of God i have got approval and have been granted EC also. but i did send them emails, stressing the fact that i qualify under 28 year scheme becasue they receive my application before my 28th birthday!!

I am planning to move byend of march 06 with my spouse!
Good Luck

There was also a post long back in this forum where the applicant was 28 on the day the application was recieved and was considered for under 28. You could search for that using the search facility. Havent since heard of anyone else cutting the line so fine.

:D I was just 28 (on spot) when my application was received by HO

 I had a payment problem so whole application was returned to me without processing

:x Then my 28th birthday passed before I received my returned application

 I repackaged my returned application with the right payment and resent it to HO - I included evidence that I had first submitted when I was under 28 but that application was returned due to payment problem

 HO treated my application as under 28
