Tier1(G) Attributes 80 or 85 Points?

Hi All,

Few of my friends from UK are saying that you need 85 points for Attributes (Age, Qualification, Earnings) to apply for Tier1 G.

When i check current UKBA points calculator, its showing as 80 points required. Could someone clarify me please?

80 points for attributes + 10 points for maintenance funds(mandatory)
+ 10 points for English Language (mandatory) = 100.

Would you rather believe your friends or read the official guidance on the BIA website?

Sorry if that sounds rude, but really people should understand that the official rules are mentioned clearly and are there for a reason rather than just relying on hearsay from friends.
