Dear all
I have been a follower of this forum for a long time and this is my first post.
My Tier-1 Extension is due next year July and hope that UKBA doesn't publish any rules that prevents Tier-1 extensions.
I have been sent to the parent company in USA by the company I work for in London on B1 (In house training) visa for 4 months. I was paid regular salary in GBP monthly. But they paid on-site allowance on per-diem basis (25 GBP per day) during whole of this period into the same salary account. This component is non-taxable and is not shown in the regular pay slip.
When I contacted my HR they said that they would provide me a certificate that shows these non-taxable earnings as on-site allowance and that the company required me to go to USA as per the job requirement.
My query now is can I show this non-taxable earning as proof of previous earnings to claim for my Tier-1 Extension?
Corroborative evidence is there, certificate + bank stmt. Also HR told me that they would not give this as 'expenses reimbursement' which I think is a major advantage.
Only problem is that it is non-taxable.
Please can any body give me a clear understanding of this?
