Expenses in Self-Emlployed Accountant Letter

Post by amuk » Sun Jan 16, 2011 2:05 am

Hello all,

(paid online on Dec. 22 from outside of the UK - submitting documents this week)

I'm a freelancer/contractor who does not work via a company structure.

My expenses are negligible. I only pay for my Internet connection and a dedicated host.

In the Accountant Letter,
1. Should it give detailed break-down of expenses or just a ballpark figure?
2. Would a 'rough estimate' of expenses work? (edit: as opposed to 'proven' expenses where I have receipts)

Thank you!

No, you need exact figures, not rough estimates and ballpark figures.
Do not send me PM's with specific questions - post question in the open forum so others can also benefit from the answers.

Thanks, mulderpf!

So, should I provide a breakdown of expenses even though this is only a "Letter from accountant confirming earnings"?

It's not a company (i.e. no P/L or BS) and I have very little expenses.
