any specific reason why you applied early, do you get 5 ILR or need another extension?sojan wrote:Timelines
1. Current visa: Tier 1 (General)
2. Date of expiry of current leave (visa): Aug 05, 2011
3. Date application posted: Jan 05, 2011
4. Date payment debited: Jan 07, 2011
5. Payment mode: Debit Card
6. Acknowledgement received: Jan 14 2011
7. Biometric letter received : Jan 29 2011
7a. Biometrics provided : Feb 05 2011 ,PEO Croydon
8. Date (new) leave to remain valid from: 15 Feb,2011
9. Date passport received: 17 Feb, 2011.
Eventhough my Date of expiry of current leave (visa): Aug 05, 2011 ,
the extension took from Feb15 only.
nearest post-office was same distance as PEO.hsmp1412 wrote:Thanks for posting you timelines. I see that you provided your biometric at PEO Croydon office - is that because you could not provide biometric using the post office service or just cause Croydon was more convenient for you? Just asking as I have also applied for T1 extension on Feb 15 with my wife and daughter and am waiting for the biometric letter.
hopefully no more extension as per current rules. ( I had 8 months early WP)mtuckersa wrote:

I cant remember about the specific section which u said above.goswamivarun wrote:Thanks for sharing the information.
When you filled the extension form, it asks you to provide the biometric details. I assume since your previous tier1 visa was issued when this biometric work permit did not exist, you left that section blank?
Can you please confirm this, as I am in a similar situation like you because my visa is expiring in Aug and i am sending my application now.
Best Regards
Varun
hmm.. not sure. I can see the options are given to PEO and other biometric centres in my letter and NOT post office.hsmp1412 wrote:Thanks! But do you know if you were eligible to go to a post office since u had applied with a dependent?sojan wrote:nearest post-office was same distance as PEO.hsmp1412 wrote:Thanks for posting you timelines. Booked through web.kgm313 wrote:Hi Sojan,
Congrats.
Did you booked biometric interview through phone or Web. I heard it is difficult to get appointment in London Corydon office. I am waiting for biometric invitation. (main+ 1 dependent)
Any tips for booking biometric appointment?

I did few tweaks and tryouts.
The best way i can think of is
1. Don't select AM/PM
2. Don't select any dates
3. Only select by Weekdays
eg.
Monday ->then Display all
Tuesday ->then Display all
etc..
you will find all appointments based on Days more quickly rather than Dates.
I have booked an appointment next month with my daughter but cannot book for my spouse. From UKBA website, my understanding is that I have to book a separate appointment for my wife.Is that true or there is some trick involved in that as well. I would appreciate your response. Here is UKBA link where it says that any one over 18 cannot be part of family group.kgm313 wrote:Thanks..
I had one more question..
Do we need to book 2 appointments for main and dependent?
Many Thanks for your reply.kgm313 wrote:There is an option add family member before booking.You can add unto 10 members for single appointment.
