Request to clarify wages paid by cheque

Dear all,
I am applying for Tier 1(General) next week within UK and need advice on as follows : my first month wages was paid by company cheque which is clearly stated on the pay slip and in the bank statement. Do I need to mentioned this on covering letter or get employer letter mentioning about this wage transfer made in the form of cheque. Any advice would be much appreciated.
