Question on earnings, pension payments from previous job?

Question on earnings, pension payments from previous job?

Does pension income received from previous job count as earnings?. I left my job early this year and moved to London. I will receive a lump sum check from my pension contributions from my previous job after 6 months which might be during the period of time i will want to include for earnings. Can i add that to my UK earnings when applying for extension? The amount is a lot of money.
