Dear All,
I had applied for a change from Tier 2 to Tier 1 General, application was made on 4th April, Biometric done on the 28th April in Croydon.
Today I got the approval letter and passport back. Their is a mention that the Biometric card will come in next few days. In fact after I did not see a visa in my passport I got really confused and created a topic in this forum to ask if passport contains visa or they just sent the BRP. Until I saw a reply by sushdmehta I was very nervous.
Unfortunately, I came to know about this forum only after applying. But in last 20 days every day I logged in to see what happened to people who applied at the same time and learning's from others application process to analyse my chances of getting visa.
This is an amazing forum with wealth of info. After reading through few posts, I got really tensed and realised that some of the info I had not furnished the right way which would have made job of the case officer difficult. For example I realised later that my maintenance fund bank statement just covered 90 days which was like the minimum requirement (February had just 28 days). A minor calculation error from case officer would have blown my chances.Somehow I was saved as I had given statement from I think last week of December till March last week (I do not remember the exact dates right now). I was saved only because both December and Jan had 31 days in a month to compensate for 28 days in Feb. As another mistake I did not keep a photocopy of the form submitted. Hence later when I wanted to check things based on some of the posts in this forum, my blood pressure was going up and down.
Wanted to thank all the members for answering to my queries and sharing their experiences in other posts. I will also go and write my dates in the in country application thread.
Now I have to concentrate on application for my dependents which includes a wife and 2 kids(90 days for the right maintenance fund in bank will complete around end of June, hence we will apply after that)
I will definitely hang around in this forum and try to answer queries from other members and help them out.
Good Luck and Best Wishes to all applicants.
Cheers
Jacob
