Tier 1 Extension query

Hi Guys,

I had my Tier 1 visa in Dec-2008. Now, I am looking to extend my VISA this or next month.

• At the time of first grant of Visa , I was 30 years old and was granted 5 points. Now as per Points calcultor guidelines it says 10 points for age of 31 or 32. I am 32 years old now. I am confused, If I can claim 10 or 5 points?

• I did not have to take the bio-metric at my first application grant in 2008. Is it a new mandatory rule to take Bio-metric on extension? I am applying through post. So just wondering how will i give this bio-metric data?

You score the same amount of points than you did when you first applied for the visa.

Scoring points for your age - it's based on what you scored initially.

As per the disclaimer, you should refer to the guidance and I suggest you rely on the guidance rather than the calculator. You will see that even the question in the application form will award you with 5 points, not with 10.

agree to mulderpf. also, if you have the original letter when you first got your extension then include it (copy it) in your extension application.

And on Bio-Metric -I just read that it is required for extension and for Tier1.

I am thinking o going by PEO Croydon. Assuming, that Bio-metric will get done right there? I am hoping that i will get things same day as all documents are complete. Single company, all funds req met.

Please confirm that list of documents is more than enough. I am a salaried employee.

2 photos
Expired ( holding valid visa) and New passport
Cover sheet
