ILR or FLR

Post by nsm2010 » Sat Jun 25, 2011 11:18 am

Dears,

I would appreciate if someone clarifies the procedure for ILR/FLR. I want to know, if someone files for ILR (at the end of 5 years from entry in the UK) and due to some reasons (due to some absences), the ILR request is been rejected, what would be the next procedure;

1- The person will file for FLR and pay separate fee (for the remaining days required to complete five years) first, and then file again for ILR (new fee), at the end of extended period???, or

2- UKBA will extend the leave to remain (for the required days to complete five years), at the end of unsuccessful current ILR application???
