Please explain the tax evidence required in detail.

Post by cuberoot » Wed May 31, 2006 12:23 pm

Im confused about the evidence required for tax. Please help.

I need to submit my tax return 15 July. I am applying for HSMP in a few days. I will not have a tax return to include as evidence. I do have the income document from my company (Called an IRP5 form in South Africa), but this needs to be sent in with the tax return.

What can I do?

Any help/advice will be appreciated.

Can the tax authority give you a formal letter stating they've received the documents from you and attach photocopies of those documents, certified by the tax authority - stamped, signed etc.

Hi.

Thanks for the advise.

I will try my best to obtain documents from the tax authority, but there may not be enough time. I could also get a copy of my IRP5 (Tax doc from company) notarised by an attorney. Would that help?

That should do it too.

You'll need to state the circumstances in your cover letter i.e. you had to submit you tax return etc and so, could only submit a notarised copy with the hsmp application.

The letter from tax authority is my preferred option though.
