Tier 1 Ext. Age Band Changed plz help

Dear Friends,

I applied for Tier 1 General one week before my 34th birthday because my age band was about to change. I got my tier 1 after 2 months.
I gonna apply my extention next year.
According to UKBA, applicants should apply one month before visa expiry.
This means i will have to apply after one month of my 36th birthday.
My Question is... in this situation can i apply 2 month in advance, so i can get the same age points.

Or if i am 36 y + 1 month. which age band will apply on me 36 or 37.

why they have mentioned different age points for exention on above link.
