Tier 1 - Visa Extension Point calculation

Post by deepali.sahoo » Sun Nov 20, 2011 3:00 pm

Hi, I have following query for my Tier 1 Visa extension which is due on 16 August 2012.

Application date (as per visa receipt): 04/06/2010
Visa start date: 16/08/2010 to 16/08/2012

I hadn't received any approval letter from VFS. I had only received the passport with Visa stamped. As per my Visa application and cover letter the point eligibility was 95 points.
75 + 10 + 10.

When I will apply for extension in august 2012, do i apply as per same rule as of 04/06/2010 (my application date) or 16/08/2010(my Visa start date)??????

If I will apply as per rule dated 04/06/2010, for 35,000 gross, I can claim 40 points, but if i have to apply as per rule on 16/08/2010, for 35,000 gross, I can claim only 20 points which is a big difference.

Also I had claimed 20 points for age as I was 29 that time. during extension should i claim same 20 points for age or 10 points as per my current age??????

Can you please clarify my above doubts?
