Annual earnings close to earn points?

Hello,

I was going through the HSMP calculator to see if I qualify. I am above 28 and have been residing in UK for an year and my earnings in the last year is close to get some points but not able to coz' they don't fall in the points earning category. can i show my Indian savings to earn those points? or is there a way out?
