Passport with Tier1 general visa lost

Hi All,

I am holding Tier1 genernal visa that will expire on 27th Mar 2012. I sent my passport to DVLA office for provisional licence as an identity proof. I received my provisional licence but did not receive my Passport. I sent my licence request by special delivery and also attached one special delivery envelop with this application so that DVLA official can send my passport with special delivery. I also sent letter stating that please send my passport in special delivery envelop. When I contacted DVLA office, they told me that passport has been sent to the given address. Unfortunately I did not note down barcode of special delivery enevlop in which I had to receive my passport. I contacted post office but they don't have any clue because barcode is neither in payment receipt nor noted anywhere else; they told me that only DVLA can tell where the passport is.

My Tier1 general visa will expire in 3 months (27th mar 2012) so could anyone guide me about process to replace tier1 visa after getting new passport from embassy? I also have one dependent so in this case do I need do anything for dependent visa as well. Any suggestions would be very helpful.
