Tier 1G dependent lost passport

hi there
i have an urgent question plz, my wife went to india for holidays with 2 kids. unfortunately while reaching home, she lost her bag which had her & children passports & indian id cards.
could any body plz advise

how she may get her dependent visa again from british embassey? furthuer what document would be needed?
& will she need my signatures or sponsor letter for that?
either she should apply or i may apply on her behalf plz?

i would be grateful if you could answer plz?

I think she would need a 'replacement' visa and not a new visa..Not entirely sure about the documentation, but 'Police FIR Report' will be one of the important document.She needs to sort out 'Passport' first..
