TIER 1 General ext: NIC class 2 arrears

Post by Umruayar » Mon Dec 31, 2012 7:57 pm

Hi,

Can someone advise me if I still owe hmrc for unpaid income tax and class 2 nic, would that have any effect on my app? As I have paid some income tax as a self employed person but no class 2 nic. Also I don't have the last bill for class 2.
Kindly update

Thanks

You should pay all the taxes with fines, interest and penalties.

also make sure you cleared all the class 2 NI before applying the T1 Ext.

as they are very strict now days..

Hi,

With regards to the tax I can assure you that TAX does not have to be fully paid at the time of your extension application.

However you will have to make sure your tax is declared correctly and you have an agreement with HMRC for late payment or payment in installments.

if you get the above done than there is nothing to worry about, I am saying this from a personal experience.

Hi guys,
I,ve submitted my app today but the case worker kept the original docs saying"I have done my work but due to self employment, senior case worker will have a look tomorrow and that I will be informed in a day or two".

Let's see what happens next.
@rfd: I think you are right.
