Tier 1 General dependent visa extension after April 2015

Post by smshoaib » Wed Feb 25, 2015 9:45 pm

My wife came to UK in July 2013 and her visa is expiring in August 2015. She will need 3 years extension to complete 5 years in UK. My visa is also expiring in August 2015 but I will need an extension before April 2015 to be eligible for ILR in March 2016. (This is because I came 6 months late in UK)

Question:
Can I apply for my wife's extension in August 2015 or she also needs to get tier 1 dependent extension before April 2015?

I would appreciate a quick response preferably with some reference to UKBA policy.

Thanks,

vinny

Yes, preferably before her leave expires.

Thanks Vinny that is a very big relief. Is there any policy document which I can refer to?
