It just took 9 working days for entire process.

So it took 11 working days to process and on 12th working day we got passport.

Has the processing time again increased? It looked like in early November the passport was received in 9-12 working days, but seems to be slower now.

I have a bad feeling if nothing is done before Christmas, there will again be a big delay till January :(

Has anyone received their passports back?

Total of 24 working days. The only small problem is that my wife visa is given for only 1 year duration where as my tier 1 is valid for 2 years... so checking with them why this disconnect. But i think thats a minor issue and she will travel in the next couple of days

Waiting from 3+ weeks.

As of today[3/Jan/2012] it is shwoing same Status Application is under process. No update yet.

I got my Passport on Monday 7/Jan/2013. So it took 19 working days for me.

3+ weeks no update on visa

Yesterday[02/01/2013] received a call from BHC Mumbai regarding my application, just a normal application verification call. Might be now they have started to process December backlogs.
[08/01/2013]: Status changed to Application processed and forwarded to Blue Dart.
[09/01/2013]:Passport and documents received.
[15/01/2013]:Today had a look on December processing times for Pune center, They say that they have processed 100% application with in 15 working days, but in fact it took me full 20 working days from start to finish. Please don't go on their published processing time guidelines. Apply as early as possible to avoid any frustration.

Online status shows that the application has been processed and forwarded to blue dart for delivery...hopefully will get the documents in a day or two

Update 10/01/13
Passports/visa received on 09/01. I was thinking that we will receive BRP's, but we got visa's pasted on passport pages. Seems like UKBA have not started issuing BRP's in India yet.

5- Online Status ( Visa application is under process at the British High Commission. 07-01-2013)
5- Online Status (Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same 09-01-2013)
5. Date Entry Clearance valid from: 08-01-2013
6. Duration for Entry Clearance: Till my(husband/main applicant) visa expiry date i.e 19-05-2013
7. Date passport received: 09-01-2013

Visa granted!!.

I think the early delay from application received to application processing start was due to christmas holidays. Rest of the application processing just took 2 days. :d

How is it possible that I applied on the 3rd of December and still my passport is under process. I am so annoyed with their completely opaque system. Getting so frustrating to just keep waiting.

Tier 1 General (Dependent) for my wife

1. Country of application - India

6. Online status (Application in process at BHC) - NA
7. Online status (Processed Application delivered) - 15/01/2013 and delivered to bluedart end of day.
8. Date passport received -- 16/01/2013 next afternoon.

Took 14 working days in total discouting the christmas and new year holidays. Some important tips to note :-

1> TB test report is a must and u need to carry 2 photos for the same.
2> Pay in cash if possible for faster submission at the VFS centre.
3> Dont expect or rely on the VFS employee to verify or guide you on documents required to be submitted. Go well prepared to avoid any mistakes.
