Immigrating to Canda as a Skilled worker

Post by TRV » Wed Sep 24, 2008 9:49 pm

I have received my Visa to enter Canada as a skilled worker and plan to
travel in October. I am travelling with my family (2+1) and will be
staying in Canada for two weeks and will be coming back and
will go back again to Canada next year to settle permanently in Canada.
Since I have no intention to stay long in Canada during this trip, I
plan not to take too much money with me when I enter Canada during
October. I have my return flights booked and also have
confirmed hotel accomodation for two weeks in Canada.

I know that I need to show financial support documents to prove that I
can support myself in Canada while entering but is this enough if I
carry my UK bank statement with me or do I need to bring any money
in to Canada? Since I won't be staying long in Canada this time, I
prefer not to carry too much money durng my trip in October. I also
plan to carry my UK credit card with me during this travel. Will
this be considered enough to show my financial support to enter Canada
or do I need to bring in money?

Also, my son 5 year old, do we need to have immunisation record at this
time as he won't be attending school as we are visiting canada only for
two weeks? We can get it when we permanently move next year, in support of his school admission, or is it mandatory to have when we enter Canada in October?

Also, is it mandatory to have a medical insurance when we enter Canada
in October?

Thanks

I can say for USA , that you have to deposit money on to your bank account . Then you have to take it to embassody.

I guess bank statement will be enaugh for it .

By the way I wish to go and live in Canada too
