WX 1 - Worker Visa - Luxaries & Limitations !

Hi,

I have been issued a 1 year WX-1 Worker Visa for Canada. Kindly advice me on the benfits and restrictions of this visa. Will someone with such a visa be able to work full-time in his field of expertise ? Will his skills and qualifications still need to be validated by Human Resources Development, Canada ? If so, what are the chances of getting an approval from HRDC, or getting a more relevant visa once I reach Canada.

To give a brief about myself, I am a Human Resources professional (non-graduate) with 7+ years of experience in recruitment, staffing, etc from India. Fluent in English. Aged about 27 years. Do I stand any chances of a better future in Canada ? Thanks in advance for all.

The WX-1 visa is actually a 'business visitor' visa. It is usually issued to employees being sent on a temporary basis to canada by their overseas employer in whose payroll they will continue to remain on. It is thus very restricted in terms of what you can do and who you can work for in Canada. If you wish to work full time in Canada in the longer term you must apply for a standard work permit - such requires HRSDC validation.
