Quebec French language assessment

Hi,

I have done the Quebec assessment choosing French as a basic language (1-2) yet I still passed.

Checking on the website it says level 7 (advanced intermediate) of the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français des personnes immigrantes adultes or its equivalent (level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is the minimum threshold from which points are awarded.

so I am a bit confused in this case since basic level score is lower than 7 or B2.

Can someone help.
