place of admission?

Post by Echo112 » Wed Dec 17, 2008 6:11 am

Hi everyone. My dad (LPR) wants to fill out an I-130 for me, but we're unsure about his place of admission to permanent residence/AOS as asked in question 14 of section B of the I-130.

Would this be the local office where he handed in all the forms and requests in person (New York) or is this the immigration center where his old I-485 got approved (Missouri)?

Thanks!

I think this refers to the point of entry when he entered the US on his immigrant visa and was admitted, becoming a permanent resident .

It seems that he adjusted status to permanent resident, as opposed to obtaining an immigrant visa.
