Biometric cards late

I exchanged my paper ILTR to Biometric card three months ago,I've been waiting for the Home office to post back my documents as I desperately need them for school ID and also for my general ID as I'm looking for a new job.I'm really stressed out as I'm depending on those documents that are taking ages to be returned back with explanation or whatsoever.Please Help
