If you think the information on the CGI Birmingham website is correct then please read below & you will be surprised……
Please use postal order as they are cheaper.
Please send two prepaid envelopes one for acknowledgement & one for passport return. The acknowledgement is just a till receipt of the £52 passport fee.
Please send separate photocopy of fist/last/visa pages of your passport with your application as without them they will reject your application.
If you are on some permanent visa(ILR etc) please use present UK address. Do not use India address. I used my India permanent address & local UK address. Finally after re-application my passport came back with my old Mumbai address which they copied from my expired passport & I am not sure why!! This over 10 years old Mumbai address is history now.
Please send more photos(5/6) because they might not like some or all of your photos.

The Consular General post is vacant & the outfit is run by Assistant consular officer Archana Majumdar. Please do not expect good services.
This is first time my interaction with an Indian consulate abroad & I am surprised how low quality situation is represented from India…………amazing.
