Hello all,
Happy New Year.
I am planning to visit HCI London on Monday next week (19/01/2015) to submit an application for Re-Issue of my damaged passport. Due to water damage, the phot page shows some discoloration and I have been told by British and German border control that I should get it replaced as soon as possible.
I have read the consulate webpage and this forum and have prepared accordingly. I have obtained the letter for home office on non-acquisition of British nationality. Address proofs for India and UK address. Sworn affidavits, 6 photos, all forms filled - including Police verification form in case I need them.
I am taking my PAN Card, Indian driving license, University, 10th & 12th certificate. I have my UK BRP as well.
I would be delighted if someone can help me answer the following questions,
a. How was your experience in queuing for the passport in recent months - after the introduction of new Online scheme. Since it is a damaged passport re-issue, I cannot book an online appointment and I have to queue. What would you recommend? Be there at 5:45/6:00 AM in the morning?
b. Do I need any further documents or any other hints that might help me in the process?
Thank you for any help/advice you can offer! Have a great week.
Regards
Kumar Bala
