Passport Renewal in India

Hi
I have an Indian passport but living in UK for 3 years on Tier 1. I will be travelling to India soon for 2 months and will be applying for renewal of my passport via tatkal service in India. The online application form has a question "Is your present address outside India". I have said "yes" and given my UK address details.. And in the permanent address line , I have provided with the same Indian address as in my existing passport.

Do i have to provide any address proof for UK address?
Will this cause any delays especially with Police verification?

Has anyone applied for Indian Passport renewal in India? What documents are to be provided for an NRI applying for passport renewal in India?
