e-visa and OCI travel query

Hi all

I had a few questions regarding OCI and e-visa, in case someone has an idea will be appreciated thanks

1. Suppose we need to travel to India and if we don't get the OCI in time, we are planning to go on an e-visa. So the question is that if the OCI comes while we are away, what happens to it ? do they take it back to the high commission or will they drop the card through the door ?

2. Has anyone had to get the OCI back in this scenario or did it still get delivered while away ?

3. Does anyone have an idea what are the e-visa charges for 30 days and 1 year respectively ?

4. Do we need to carry the passport surrender certificate with us to India ? will it be checked at immigration ?

5. I am still waiting for the renunciation certificate and its been over 2 months since appointment at Goswell. Suppose I receive it in the next month, what is the email address that we need to forward it to for the OCI printing ?

6. Suppose we applied for the OCI and the renunciation around the same time, will it still take months after receiving the renunciation for them to print the OCI ?
