OCI help for a one-month old newborn baby

Post by db666 » Tue Jan 07, 2025 8:03 pm

Good evening folks,

My wife and I are trying to get OCI for our newborn daughter. We are both British passport holders and have OCI cards. We would appreciate some clarification for the below queries if possible please!
  • I'm not sure what sort of documents are required to be uploaded as per the attached screenshot? Would I be correct in assuming we would need to attach digital copies of: my daughters passport and birth certificate, my and my wife's OCI cards, our marriage certificate. Anything else?
  • Would I need hard-photo-copies of the documents uploaded or would taking the originals when going for the appointment suffice?
  • Would I need to have a physical print of the photo uploaded?
  • It's really hard to get a good thumbprint or photo for a 1-month old child? Would it be fair to assume some concessions are made for newborn photo/thumbprint rules?
Thank you for help in advance, cheers! :)

Sorry to bump this but would still appreciate answers on the above. Also I don't see a category for uploading my/my wife's driving license and passports. Which category do folks usually use for this? Thank you!

You need two physically printed photos as per specification mentioned
