E-visa for India…no surrender certificate yet

E-visa for India…no surrender certificate yet

After having aquired, British citizenship and received British passport, Is it mandatory to surrender the Indian passport first for the e-visa.
Due to urgency need to travel and planning to apply Indian eVisa but do not have the surrender certificate.

Anyone in this situation can please help?

You can apply for e-visa, it is not mandatory to surrender for e-visa but parallelly you surrender and apply for e-visa
