How to surrender lost Indian Passport?

Hi Guys,

A bit of dilemma, my wife lost her Indian passport, she became a British Citizen in 2023, so any kind enough to explain the process to me for surrendering the passport.

We do have photocopies of the passport and it has expired.

To surrender a lost Indian passport, you must apply online via the Passport Seva portal for a Surrender Certificate, then book an appointment at your local VFS Global centre, submitting an affidavit (Annexure F) for the loss, your foreign passport, proof of address
