Turkish Residence Visa

Hi Folks,
I am working in Istanbul on a year's contract and have a Residence Permit for a year. My company are trying to get me a work permit - not easy! However, my girlfriend who is from Kazakhstan has only a 3 month residence permit. Anyone know how I can get her permit extended ? She does not have any EU Residency rıghts just now.

How I wish to know about Turkish immigration system but however from what I understand about getting a residence in most countries, you either wanna study, work or have a family ties with someone currently legally residing in that country. So I guess if she has one of this 3 things I mentioned then probably they should be able to extend her stay.

I cant even imagine a residence of 3 months...that is just like a visa, but anyway Turkey is not in EU so even if she has a residence from EU...it has nothing to do with Turkey.
